Update Istaria with Administrative Permission and XP Compatibility
If Istaria is unable to save game preferences, or patch, it is very likely that Istaria is being started without Administrative privledges. Istaria is installed by default to c:\program files\istaria - which is a protected system folder.

To ensure that Istaria is configured to run as Administrator, please follow this steps.
1. Find the shortcut you use to start Istaria. Usually Play Istaria on your desktop.
2. Right click the Play Istaria shortcut and click Properties
3. Click the Compatibility tab
4. Check the "Run this program as an administrator" check box.
5. Click the "Run this program in Compatibility mode" check box.
7. If possible, click the "Change setting for all users" and enter your password
8. Click OK

In some cases, Istaria may need to be run in WindowsXP compatibility mode on some versions of Windows Vista. Please do not set this unless you are having a problem or support has asked you to set compatibility mode. In most cases, compatibiity mode will actually slow down Istaria.
